65-6 door plugs? Nice work Kerry, saves ripping the front off if it needs a tow.

Correct on the plugs.

I thank George (gbx) for the issue that made us come up with the idea.

Next time George is out at the ranch with Scarlet, it will get a set.

Gather round children, I have a tale of building an E car to tell you all.

Now be good & respectful & I will tell you the story with pictures .....

It all started when the Ford gods created the 67 Mustang shape. It was improved for the 68 model year with some "nice to have" extras (like collapsible steering column).

We now move to April 1999 when I was approached about RHD Mustangs after Mrsozbilt's Mach I was spotted at the Fabulous Fords Forever show at Knotts Berry Farm. That led to Total Control Products suspension & other bits, being used in the movie Gone in 60 Seconds.

Now, most of you know, I have had little to do with E cars, however, due to the insistence of StMary's Steve (soc) I assembled the doors & other bits on the second E car that Baz purchased (remember Baz?).

We now move on a few years & Steve has another E car in the works that he asks me to look over. Being Steve's travel companion, he had a lot of time to work on me.

So, I go look over the car, talk to the owner & set up a plan. Interesting enough, this guy used Bas's E cars at his wedding, hence the build.

The rolling shell was transported to Duggo, but stored at a neighbours shed as I did not have the space & the car had needed to be moved from it's previous location.

So now the pictures can begin from moving the rolling shell from my neighbours place to the ranch.

That will be tomorrow as I need to spin this out :snigger:

RHD, yes. E cars, no, however this one came up nice with a lot of touches that will make life easy for those that work on it in the future. :$

Back to the story......

So here we are moving the shell a kilometer up the road to the ranch. This is typical of the tow vehicles you find around my way .......

Now mounted on the AutoRobot, measured & all damaged panels removed ........

Now we begin the reconstruction.

It is easier on the AutoRobot as it holds all, that is left, in place & in it's correct spot.
