So the paint guy rings me today and says" we got on to PPG and got the correct paint code, T5 for Candy Apple Red. But is a lot cleaner looking red than the one we gave you to paint the inside and under your car with" WTF!!!! "You better call in and have a look" I thought the first one you gave me was supposed to be the right one ??? ???
So I go down and yep, its a lot different, but more like I thought it should be, so we go with that red. I told them they would have to repaint all inside the boot area as it will be seen. Not to worried about under the car but geeze!! I'm pretty sure inside the cab there is no area's where it will be seen except maybe the A pillars, and I don't think it will stand out if it does. But boy, you pay good money to get things right, but somthing allways goes wrong. But hey, I'm happy. It's got paint on it, Going to polish tommorow and do the doors, guards, bonnett etc. Have it home by the end of the week. been just under 14 months since it was sand blasted.

Looks fantastic 69candy, the panel and paint look perfect. As for the different colour inside - the A pillar is covered by trim so there isn't anywhere it would be noticeable. Awesome car!

Any pics of the engine?
Rick.

Thanks guy's, Engine is not together yet, but hopfully by xmas.
Yep, its straight. The pannel guy I had helpnig me was good but they spent another 3 days getting out a few small ripples that I could not even see!! Young guy painting it to. Would be only 20 years old, but he knows his shite!! They want to use it as a sort of promo car at times and wanted it right.

Of course he would need that "heavy duty" axle as well, so don't forget to consider that when calculating a value... 8O
