Got a chance to work on the Stang again this weekend, some more updates.

Image
Tail light panel welded in, trunk lid on to check gaps.

Same again

Image
Replaced the trunk panels that support the fuel tank, the old ones were pretty beaten up and covered in bog, right side.

Left side

Image
Replaced the toeboard and floorpan on the drivers side, not quite finished yet

And finished the diff,

So that's it, big weekend, It's amazing how quickly the drivers side floor went in having done the passengers side, my brother-in-law/retired panel beater is a very fastidious man and I'm learning heaps.

Thanks Dynamic, he's a good sort and I try to help him out, The bonus is I am learning a lot about panel beating, but what I've learnt is that it is an art and I'll leave it the the experts, sometimes a trade cant be learnt in a weekend if you know what I mean. Maybe one day on a not so expensive car I'll have a go. All the rebuild parts are taking up space in my attic. And I'll say damn you SA rego laws for not letting me build this beyond concourse, sort of. Thanks for your support and I love this forum! enough of a rant from me.

Awesome work Mike and great to get the build on the site. Can't wait to see this one progress. Got to love the cobra jet too mate, great score. Wish I had one poofteenth of the talent your brother in law has. This will be a great concourse build mate so don't worry too much.

So Jeff Speegle says red oxide on the front, batch primer from the firewall back for a feb 69 SJ Rcode, batch primer is black as far as I can tell with a metallic fleck. i know its a mix of paint but damn how do you reproduce that?
