Re: Green Machine. The return of the "Madden"
SHERM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I am disgusted!!!
how dare you post a pic of a lovely lady in the water taken recently, beside a boat that probably has enough grunt to handle the way i ski !!!!!!!!!!!!!! in the middle of my winter!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1111 you bum, you just made me feel 50 degrees colder!!!!
On a lighter side, I have a client that seems to be looking for another muzzy. He's either after a K code fastback, or a vert (no engine specified....but i doubt he'll take a 6 pot) H'e prolly sell his current ride for a k-code, but would add a vert to the stable, his wife has become a lot more enthusiastic since she has seen whats involved in a rotisserie resto and the effort that goes in.
I have told him to come here a few times, but he seems to be too busy (restoring bits for his C code no doubt). Whats your best contact, as I have reccomended you as the #1 person i would trust to buy from the states.
Cheers
Jas

Only know of 1 K code verts at the moment (havent really been looking) but its a project (on Florida Finds).....needs a lot of work...new floor pans, torque boxes, rear rails, inner rockers....and Im sure a new lower cowl
If it wasnt for the K in the vin, Im sure someone would cut this up for parts
Only piece left is the 4 speed...(NO ENGINE)
Depends what hes looking for

Re: Green Machine. The return of the "Madden"
Just doing a quick update. Haven’t had much time to work on the car the last few weeks as I did my back in pretty hard then came down with a flu in the middle of summer…WTF!! These pics were taken last week. Managed to get the little snap studs in the quarter panels.
Fitted the chrome strip across the hood and started getting all the turn signals in the hood vents fitted up. Test fitted all the interior and thought I would take a photo. Still have the passenger seat to do.
Then John (Thirsty390) from Melbourne was rolling into town so that blew Thursday through till Sunday night. Not that I minded, it was really good to catch up John and his family and show them a little of Florida.
Thirsty actually took a heap of photos of johns convertible but left before I could transfer them onto my computer. Im sure he will email em on to John as soon as he gets back to OZ
I was actually surprised the amount of things we did in such a short time they were here without having to be pushed for time to see everything and be everywhere at any given time. It was very relaxed. John flexed out Sheri’s Shelby the whole time he was here so I know he went home with a smile.
It was a real pleasure having them stay with us and the party life was unbearable. Took them out to a few remote Islands and then off to Clearwater Beach were we pulled up at Sheppards on the water. After hitting the clubs the night before and only having a few hours sleep, only 1 beer each was drinken that day….very sad effort indeed
All up was a sensational time. Even with John goin ar5e over tit in the boat then doing sit ups as a recovery (had to be there) very amusing moment (one of many) Doin shots of 5 hour in Walgreens, Karaoke at 2am, the never ending corona delivery girl (felt it the next day), blowing up the bike, the camaro burnouts, long waits for food on the beach, Mike getting drunk, my broken back, John’s excessive beer buying skills, flexin the Shelby, searching for sand dollars, bourback ribs, matty roasts, making Shmores on the barby, chasing Pirate ships….what didn’t we do guys

Thanks Ed
Its been a long 9 months but were on the home stretch now. The backs the biggest problem at the moment (done some serious damage)...was very surprised when I saw the X-rays last week.
Will be good to see it finished

Re: Green Machine. The return of the "Madden"
Spent Tuesday stripping down the passenger seat again despite what the Chiropractor said. Wasn’t meant to be doing anything that would put stress on my back but how hard can a seat be….right? After twisting all the hogg rings off and stripping the seat down I was about done but I wanted to atleast see it through till the end. Get it blasted, in primer and paint before I get to the Chiropractor…..(I hate pullin hogg rings)
Got the seat frames stripped and took the frames and runners over to Sherm’s at Sunstate Mustang to give em a blast. Had to replace both of the runners as I couldn’t be stuffed fixing the original ones. A quick blast and some brake parts cleaner to clean all the baked grease and god knows what else caught in the tracks and they were as good as new.
Managed to get them in primer and painted before I left for the Chiro so they can dry over night. Hopefully I can get to them tomorrow.
Wednesday I went in and got stuck into the seat. Spent all day re-triming and fitting the new foam and covers. The base was done first but didn’t want to stress the old back by stretching the cover so I left that till last while I left it in the sun to soften up a bit.
Top part of the seat was a lot easier than the base. Without having to put it in the sun, it covered really well. I came back to the base and even being in the sun for 3 hours, the bi7ch just wouldn’t pull over properly (even with silicone spray on the foam) so I pulled it tight as I could and through some hogg rings in place so I can leave it in the sun whilst its stretched into position. (closer to where I want it)
Went down there again today (Thursday) to do a final fit and re-assemble the seat but I went to the Chiro this morning and he did that whole CRACK CRACK CRACK stuff and after that I couldn’t move again……Thought those buggers were meant to fix the problem!!
Either way, I left it in the sun for a few more hours and then brought it back to the bench for another day. Couple of days in the sun isn’t gonna hurt it until the backs all good again to get back to it. The 4th picture is how it looks without it being hogg ringed into place for stretching.
The last 2 pics are the base as good as I could get it temporarily until it stretches.
Few pics below from yesterday
