looks like the convertor may have dropped bearing.
some problem solving here and then a call to a nice fella to offer advice.

thanx cage but its just to get the box out without dropping fluid everywhere.

service kit through my old C4 and pop it back in for a while.

Yes as luck would have it the gearbox has to be removed again.
Later model yokes fit aswell, anyone who is wrecking a EB,NC-EL Falcon fairlane, the 6cyl or v8 4speed auto and t5 manual tailshaft yokes will fit the c4. Alternatively 11/2" exhaust pipe with the end capped will work. You could also use pvc pipe with the end capped if you can find the right size, retic 25mm wont work too small 32mm maybe? i dont have any around to check. The electrical and plumbing pipe are different sizes to the retic, just find something 11/2 inch (the same size as the C4 yoke)

Hello all.... after a latish night the old coupe has it's C4 back in and after some band adjustments (only due to the fact JBB had read up and wanted to play) while on the bench all was smooth sailing.
sorry about crushing you john, promise the crush injuires will heal over time.
The box changes really nicely with only a little clunk when selecting reverse.
Thinking this may be a little play in other parts of the drive train.
Happy and welcome others thoughts. Nothing to worry about with it however just interested.
Cheers,

One of the mechanics there grew up around mustangs. His dad used to service, convert, restore them for a living.

After a busy morning I had some success, thats after a few :help: calls to Moe and JBB.
Felt good to get it sorted and back on the road.
Dylan and I went for a drive with all the issues put aside now. She really got up and went!!!!!!!
