Or did I just ask for a public execution?
I think they would be very hard to beat and they are finding their way into qiute a variety of vehicles.

Hallelujah brother, glad im not the only one to consider thinking outside the box...
Think about it.. the power of a big block in a package that weighs the same (I said the SAME) as a 289..

Although the Coyote will probably take that mantle, since it is all alloy as well.. but wont fit a stock bay I dont think

The one pictured above would run like crap once it warmed up. Induction is in the wrong spot. I cannot believe how people go to all that trouble of fitting an engine & then drop the ball when it comes to fabricating the simplest things.

That engine bay also "looks" like crap. Terrible job right down to the cheap horns, looks like they were bought at SuperCheap or similar.

Anyone that puts a Chev donk in a Ford deserves all the criticism he gets. :poke:

Ok what's the options for a light engine if the ls engines are out?
Aftermarket all aluminum 302? After looking at that ls in the bay will a twin screw prevent an export brace/strut bar fitting?

The ls2 just seemed a good choice because it is light weight and the power potential is impressive (I have driven a stock 400hp gto and the car is a pleasure to drive and maybe the reliability of an all engine power plant isn't so bad)

LSX is the same size as a 351, it just looks bigger in the pic due to the covers.
A 302 is not as tall, so will give you more clearance, but export brace will be affected by two things..
A) where it is in relation to the blower pulley (front to back)
and
B) whether there is an intercooler under the blower or not. (adds height)

Ali 302 would be nice and light, but then so would your wallet.

Hmmmmm

Engine #120325 Man O'War SBF 460 / 600HP Street Engine, Aluminum Heads, Hydraulic roller cam, EFI
$17,463.99 Suggested Retail Price.

Stock 6.0LT LS2 CRATE MOTOR / 400HP
$5,850.00 inc GST within Australia

If you say they are the same size as a 351 I will have to look into the LS2 idea a little more I think suspect

hmmmm

These swaps are surprisingly straightforward, as the LS2 engine is only ¾ of an inch wider than the small block Windsor motors they originally came with. The shock towers didn’t have to be modded to first this modern engine either - it was a perfect fit.

"Twin screw LS2" also has a nice ring to it
