You engraved the rotors- now that is pretty cool!

I am still gob-smacked you did your own callipers AND now the hubs. I think you have a first there for the rotors. Any chance you can make a set of spokeless rims so you can see the callipers and rotors- now there is a challenge!

Looking fabbo BTW.
cheers

Jacko, I think you've been watching too much of west coast customs....ha ha ha
I did my previous rotors so I had the program already and waiting.

Thats right they did do a spokeless rim - I think it was plexiglass centers.
I will someday think of something clever to say.

I noticed your air filters, as that's another thing I'm looking into, without disrupting the airflow, not sure yet but may make an air box
Yes My current air filters are looking very sad. I wasn't going to fork out for something decent until I'd actually tested my setup. I'm working on installing 2x Pipercross PX600 filters on it at the moment. I'm just waiting on some fittings. I will post pics when they are done.

V8 supercars used a very similar setup to what you have except with the injectors aimed down the trumpets. They just enclosed the whole thing in a box.

BTW a tuning tip. Get the airflow balance pretty close by using a flow meter, then do a few highway runs to fine tune the final balance using the colour of the spark plugs. Don't get discouraged if it drives like complete crap the first time.

Yep Luke, I'm expecting some fun and games,

I've got the Boss429 scoop on it and considering using that for the air intake similar to the ram air design, maybe.....

maybe a dumb question but how much of an advantage is the extra angles
Its one of the main differences between an AFR outlaw and a Renegade head. If seen reports of 20+ hp on engines by doing this alone.

Hi,

I just remembered I have a pir of ramair filters like these:

I bought them then realised they are too short for my application. They may fit yours if you are interested.

So over the Easter break I finally upgraded my air filters. I thought it may be of interest to you.

That looks pretty good Luke, well done, I haven't had much time to play around with mine,
I was thinking of possibly making 8 spacers in between the trumpet and throttle body to incorporate a filter, just not too sure how that would effect the air flow,????

Hi,

They "Just" fit under the Shelby style bonnet.

The longer you make your runners will shift your power band lower as well so be careful how thick you make you spacers. My throttlebodies had a provision to clam a hose or filter to so I am using silicon hose with a really thick T-bolt style hose clamps to hold the whole thing together.

Funnily enough on the shake down run will the new filters I blew out an exhaust gasket on a part power take off. So now the car is undriveable until some copper gaskets I ordered show up.

They're really for twin carb or 4cyl ITB setups but there is nothing stopping me using 2 ?
