Put shifter in - gearbox now fitted + driveshaft... after sourcing new sandwich plate..

But worth it... hopefully fingers crossed tonight - Ill hear her fire up for the first time since she landed in oZ in 20 years!

Mate, crack a beer. Its a fantastic sound. I know when i put a new engine in mine and turned it over for the first time i couldnt wipe the smile off my face. And it was only off the road for 6 months. I couldnt imagine 20years!!

Credit to yourself to getting it done. So many of these old girls are put on the "maybe" pile and never get finished.

all comes down to bucks dude... Ive had her 2 years from a rusted out roller...and about 10% complete... and we've done the full rebuild in that time - not too shabby considering she's been converted + full resto

no engine fire tonight - still need to mount up 6AL... + plumb in cooling system...

Cranked her over - got oil pressure :)

maybe tmrw night :)

Is that a single plane manifold you've got on that mate?

If so, have you checked bonnet clearance yet?
