That reminds me, has anyone put a mustang over the pits with rear discs?
Last time i spoke to the guys at the Pits they said just send it over and if they dont pick it up, all good, best to play dumb and pretend like they were always there he said.
Any changes from a standard brake set up requires an engineers certificate.
If they see the rear disks (and I would be surprised if they did not) then they will most definitely pull you up for it. If they miss it then you should still get a certificate as it could be an issue if your in an accident at some point. Ignorance is unfortunately not a legal defence.
Thanks guys, the inside of the doors are really not that bad. Left the doors for the time being, picked up a new bonnet and been working on the guards.
The RHS was in good nick, straight as, the LHS however was far from it, no rust but big arse dent right down the crease line.
After about an hour of panel beating I was really impressed with it, coat of primer... Its still not right and i made it straight, turns out it should have a slight convex curve. Bugger. Might just try and get another guard.
Will have to look into getting it engineered then i suppose, bugger, just another hold up i didn't want or need. Still waiting on parts from the US so i can finish the back end and put the whole car in primer.
Don't bother handing in your resume for any hand-modeling jobs.......... :rotfl:
(PRAYER) Oh thank you Wild Turkey American Honey & Cola in those small thin bottles, for giving me the strength to act like a half wit, and say stupid things at inappropriate times, semi-anonymously, on a public forum.
Amen.
You shouldn't stumble on to much of a problem with the brakes, provided they are done right and haven't been welded. But as above check with your auto engineer.
i just noticed on the ground near the guard, burnout from the old AU I had, anyone comes to my house must think some kind of a "hoon" lives here or something
