stripped fender aprons initially used paint stripper but this was difficult with the bends, so went with wire wheel on the drill did the trick. primed and ready for satin black.

Bonnet hinges seem a bit rough, anyone have any suggestions on how to bring these up to new again?

Sand blast would be a first option but if thats not practical I sink them in a caustic solution for a couple of weeks then clean up with water (careful as cuastic is very unfriendly to human flesh). To remove the rust they then go in a solution of citric acid for 24 hours.
If you bolt them back to the car you will be able to remove the spring more easily.

Sanded the engine bay today and inside aprons (2nd time) and primed for satin paint tomorrow! This took me ages to sand and prep, might even repaint springs to the black colour they should be.

After inspecting the fender for stripping found this little gem, some knob put filler right over the bolt attaching fender to body, not sure which way I will go to fix this..
