i'm thinking I should come down to Duggo tomorrow, take a photo of me and the car like the one in the 1964 shot above and super impose myself and patience in the production line photo for posterity. I could probably grow the mexican mo overnight too! (I am Maltese you know). Now I think I'm letting the medicinal whisky run away with me.

64 1/2 Mustangs had the holes. I cut them out of the later ones, to not only give access to floor repair, but also gives a handy spot for an amp or computer (screwed to a piece of board glued to the floor).

You can see the holes in this photo of the early production line. The picture also gives up the welding sequence of the body assembly ........

Good info about the seat riser holes, didn't know that. Would make a good space for some under seat subwoofers 😄

All primed. Good thing is not any unknown issues found .......

Even though there is a lot of work to go there is something extremely satisfying about getting all that clean bare steel sealed up.

I have followed this thread with interest. I have a May 65 GT fastback. The vehicle is good driver quality at the moment but I plan to totally rebuild it in a few years.

On page 18 of the thread (photo posted Tue Oct 11, 2016 3:43 pm by ozbilt), does the frame work surrounding the trap door opening have a specific name? From where was the piece purchased?

Mine has had a low quality repair in the past to the area near the horizontal square cut-outs so I figure it will need to be replaced.

I watch in awe as the body work wizards ply their craft!
