If you want to buy from STS, just send an email to info @@@ sydneytech .com .au
Make the subject Mustangtech Tracker purchase so the guys know where it's coming from.

If someone wants to organise another group buy, that's fine. I'm happy to liaise with the manufacturer again for you guys, but I won't be collecting names and money this time. If I had my time again, I'd just pay the extra few bucks and buy from a Sydney supplier, but that option wasn't available at the time.

When you say figure it out - do you mean what it does?
If so, I can try to explain in layman's terms for you.

BTW - I have left STS as of this week, so anyone who buys from them in future will be dealing with the rest of the team.
At this point, I still have access to the system to create users from Mustangtech etc.

When I say figured it out I mean I can call it to find out where it is and it will send me a text with a google map link. I just need to set it up so that if it leaves my house by 100 metres it sends me a text automatically and then I know its gooone. If you could put it in a easy manner to set it would be great.

Derwin,
check out my recent posts in the GPS forum. Not sure what kind of phone you have, but on my android, there is an SMS Templates app that lets me create templates to send, so I can send the A00 command at any time and it will respond with it's location.
One of the commands definitely sends a google maps link via sms when requested.

A01 is google maps URL..

100m is pretty tight..
I set mine to 2Km so i could run down the shops etc without it going off..
its actually sending a bit later than that.. but still before you can make it to any main road..

BTW, check instructions and set one of the sleep modes...
Else it is always on.. and can go through the battery pretty quick..
Any of the triggers (ie Ign on) or movement wakes it up...

My car is in storage and I started getting SMS every five mins due to low battery alarm..

Edit: Just realised Derwins post was from last year...

No dramas, still havent got off my butt to fix the distance yet but this just might get me moving.

Mine I give a call and it will send me a maps device as to where it is. I just want it to send to me if it moves without me knowing. I keep mine on a trickle charger anyhow so the batter will be fine, I hope

There's a possibility it's faulty.
Do you get a low batt notification?

I had mine hooked up for many weeks with no issue. How long is it taking to flatten the battery?

Have you set it to go to sleep?

Hybrid where are you getting your GPS units from?

I bought mine straight in from China from Meitrack.
But the tracking website software I use is compatible with a lot of devices, so don't have to use those ones.
