Hi I'm keen on using the 67 pedal support in my 65. This to get a better brake pedal ratio for power brakes than the 65-66 set up which is non power only. Wondering what mods are involved if anybody has done this.

You will have to change the hole pattern in the firewall, and mod where it bolts under the dash. They are the same length. It fits under the plenum no problem.

Thanks Kerry so the 67 bolt pattern will fit in the 65 firewall recess ok? As it looks to have one bolt way out. I should explain I'm thinking of going Hydroboost and getting a mounting plate to suit the 65 and mod the support or a plate in the 67 bolt pattern and redrill the firewall

Yes it will have one bolt out but a spacer should fix that. Also where the 67 bolts to the dash is wider so that will be a mod too.

Where it bolts to the dash I was planning on making that wider anyway to suit the commodore collapsible column mount. Who knows maybe the 67 pedal support will match the commodore bolt pattern. if that makes sense to anyone

When I use a Falcon one in RHD cars I just cut the dash snout of the LHD mustang one so it suits the dash You could do the same thing to get the 67 to work

Kerry, you mentioned putting some plate in the rear section to strengthen for the exhaust hangers. Was this just because Patience was weak there or is it a known cracking area? If so, I'll do it to my convertible while it's still has no interior.

Ford did that for twin exhaust cars. Yes single thickness will crack. 2 plates say 100 x 150 mm glued in place is all that is needed.

I've glued reinforcement plates in mine too after reading this:
