Oh, they are a touchy lot; those east coast boys.

Replaced the windshield washer pump with another one that was tested and now the relay works. When I push on the pump the wipers work.

I ran an estimate from my notes on total hours for the entire project to date and it is around 2,900 hours.

That includes research time, relearning time, scratching my head time, ordering parts, running parts down and all physical labor.

It took an average of 16 hours from stamping the floor pan to driving the car off the line.

Not having a thousand workers and a whole production line does slow one down a little .......

They must have had better quality control. I am surprised they don't have more issues on the assembly line.

I think at least 1/4 up to 1/3 of the 2900 hours was trouble shooting and fixing replacement parts - fitting rear quarters, floor pan, running down electrical issues, rebuilding rebuilt parts (power brake booster for example). Not to mention taking things back apart to fix an issue (leaking intake manifold gasket replaced 3 times, etc.).

So I came dangerously close to Ryan's rule of restoration #2 - I don't want to know what I spent on the project for plausible deniability to the wife. AND I didn't want to cry last night. ?

Rule #1 - You don't want your wife to know what you spent is still in effect - thank goodness!

Rule #3 - save all receipts in case you need to sell and can tell the IRS you didn't make any money on the car.

OK so got the car out for a couple of photos with the fall colors of the maple trees.

For all you guys over here in Australia, Fall is the greatest driving time in the USA. The colors (US spelling) are breathtaking.
