That's the worst side on the top edge, RHS needs the A pillar piece which is dead easy, and about 300m from the A pillar roll back. The turret skin has some dents where some clown has walked over it, I've slaped most of them up, just need finish them and sand a and rust convert the skin, and give it a skim up.

very impressive stuff Shaun, how did you join the top edge (where the top edge meets the roof skin)?obviously welded but there looks to be a fair bit of space in that mock up photo?

It's done in 2 pieces the gutter and an outer edge, go back a page and look at the pieces wihich we made to weld in.

Also found that during the factory build the last 3 numbers of the VIN were writen under the rear bumper, this car also had a dymo label with the vin on one door hinge, even though this is not a concour rebuild I'll probably put any marks I find back on it.Image

Slapping up the roof skin where it has been stepped on

Did the RHS gutters today, this side needed the A pillar gutter as well. So this is pretty much the end of the rust repair on this shell now, just car park dents from now on.

Nice work

The difference here is that the US guys would have sculpted/filled the missing metal with bog :rotfl:

Wow, very nice work. That's exactly what I was scared to do on mine, so called in the experts.

Thanks hybrid, I don't do this stuff much anymore, but I'm thinking I'll get back into it if people want it done, after this car is painted of course, I really forgot how much I like fixing old cars.
