I checked that Dana 44 - it's got a 4.9 diff ratio
Good, I will get it to the diff guy upon my return & see what can be salvaged.

I will load some Cuda pics later today.
Pics as promised .....

RH front rail has issues where the K member bolts in ......

Hi Kerry,

Very disappointment. I'm doing a container next week - should I get new front rails ? Or any other sheetmetal ?

Cheers

No need to be disappointed, nothing there that cannot be fixed & nothing really that was unexpected. These cars were flogged hard as they went hard.

Nope, just need the trunk floor. I will pick up the other K member when you get the floor in. However I will inventory all the parts I have at Duggo & confirm late next week ..... :like:

Steering will need rebuild, do you have another box? Also will need the joint kit, column to box.

Just loaded more pics off my phone of it, at Steve's, on the Car-O-Liner ....

It is a nice colour. Sure looks like it was flogged. No worries will be wonderful when done.
I will someday think of something clever to say.

Kerry,

The K bar is complete with all steering, brakes etc. Came out of 70 barracuda that was on the road so should not have any problems. We'll clean and paint it over Easter.

Mark, you may want to think about the diff ratio you intend to fit. A 4.9 rear will shred the tyres nicely but spin the engine somewhere near 3200 at 80kph. Not ideal for normal driving.

Do not worry Mark as it should be pulled down, blasted & checked properly before install.

The steering box should be checked & resealed before as they usually leak bad.

Discs will need machining & calipers will need a kit through them. Speaking of which, order a kit if you do not have & also the flexible brake lines. Also get a brake line kit to suit that car as the ones in there are stuffed. Metering block is OK.

I will be using the K member only to repair that RH rail mounting point.

Hi Nuts,

That 4.9 is definitely coming out, will look for a 3.23 or similar

Hi Kerry,

The K member in the car, well, actually now out, has stress cracks whereas the donor is fine.
