So does Ozbilt, but his variety means you can get back to the shed and actually achieve something. Quite novel really.

The subject of colour for the TC has been the topic of discussion since I arrived. The colour choices being discussed mid March were ........

* Black (it is a very early produced car & most were black or later in that year's production, green)

* Green (the British Racing variety, or Brooklands),

* Red (good ol resale red) &

* Ron's family favourite, Ivory Creme.

Now here it is late April, the car is in primer & all rubbed ready for colour. The choices have been narrowed down to .......

* Black

* Green (BRG or Brooklands)

* Red

* Ivory Creme

* with a slight possibility of a light or dark Blue ........ :impatient:

So in the interests of helping Ron out, we produced this little tick sheet for the passengers on his return flight from Shanghai to fill in & emailed it to him while he was having a rest day ...... ;)

As all of you that have met me know, I am so helpful, always trying not to confuse the issue & having an accomplice in Bob only encouraged both of us ...... :rotfl:

Ron has since returned to Shanghai (rest day today) & we will meet up again late next week, hopefully finding Ron with some colour to finish the car ....... :lol:

That is funny as it is Ron's families choice. He already has a red interior kit.

However it is the least favourite choice for those of us that have seen numerous (think "hundreds") of TC's ..... :lol:

BTW, I have linked both Ron & Bob to this thread, so go easy on them ...... :rotfl:

So what was the consensus from the flight, or didn't he have the balls to try it?

Red interior to me means either red or black exterior. Black is not a colour rather it is a full time cleaning job, plus red goes quicker so red gets my vote.

i was going to say Ivory Creme as well, but after looking at the choices again by comparison i was reminded of a blue Auburn 8 i saw while working on a movie set.
the blue and chrome simply looked beautiful.
so..... blue for me.
and make the next project an Auburn 8 Oz!

Red interior is usually found in Black or Creme. Red cars usually got tan (they call it "Biscuit").

The grille slats get painted same colour as the interior ......

We did not have time to word the form in "simplified Chinese" as that would be 9/10ths of the passenger list. Also there was humour & sarcasm involved, two things totally lost on the Chinese population ...... ;)

As mentioned by Malscar, black is not a colour but a career.

I say the darker blue too.
Those lines will stand out nicely in the sun.

There is a really nice Lexus blue.

Whatever colour is chosen, it will be a "period correct" colour as new car colours do not suit the old shapes.

I like the darker colours, green (BRG & Brooklands) & also the deep reds, as the car has a lot of chrome including the wire wheels & aluminium brake drums. However, it is not my car, so whatever Ron wants, Ron gets ...... :lol:

The interior colour is not important as the interior kits are easy to sell & replace with another colour.

BRG, with a different colour interior than the red, of course.

'Twill look rather dashing with those exquisite chrome wire wheels.
Jolly good show.
