Yes bump steer - just curious on my part.
I will someday think of something clever to say.

Most important is the lower arm and rack position for bumpsteer and as that is already built into the crossmember, there is probably little you can change without major mods. Hopefully the manufacturer got it right. Top has little effect (but important for caster, antidive and some of the camber)

Would like to work on something like this. Man, I would really feel a great sense of accomplishment after all the endeavor.

I'm with you Kerry, fingers crossed they have. I set the caster at 2 degrees although with the new upper arms I'm making there will be plenty of adjustment and will be able to change if I need to.

If your local Henry I have plenty to do ?

Is the intersection point halfway across the vehicle..? The Ackermann angle should also be a consideration.....

Indeed Ackermann angle is a consideration.

You get the length then shift the tie rod along the intersection point line

Ackermann was only ever "close" on a Mustang as the suspension was borrowed from other cars in the family. Lots of different wheelbases in the cars with that same suspension.

Also because of adjustability and differences in how the cars were assembled in the first place (read tolerance in body measurances) the aim is to set the car up with the optimum settings as you build it. Trying to adjust later can throw the bump steer out further.

We would build race car suspension off a drawing so it had very little adjustment. The TA cars of 69/70 had no adjustment other than toe. The upper and lower arms were set in place as the cars were built.

I'm relying a lot on the manufacture of the crossmember and top arm mount. I will certainly check the angles next time I'm at the car though to be sure

I agree the ZF is a nice box although it is quite a bit larger and for simplicity will stick with the BTR. Being a trans mechanic, the 4 spd is much easier to build ?
OK so will the BTR mate up with a Windsor block like my 347?

Yes cage. I added a megasquirt to a 302/BTR combo up here. Used the separate factory BTR controller. I would stay with the AOD as it has no controller.

This could be one of the ultimate hijacks by what is that an issue Boof. The idea of a sequential 4 speed is very appealing.
