OK!! well you can shove your new age 2k paint where the sun dont shine :-D
Alright 16 degrees may of not been the best temp to paint and the metal was proberly even colder, but it was the only sunshine we had and i was desperate to get some paint on. I got a light coat on then walked away for 5 mins then did another desperately trying to hold back putting too much on. Then another and it looked good, put the gun away went back to have a look at my efforts 8O looked like Niagara Falls
So not being my trusty fast drying Acrylic paint im used to, i had to wait a couple of days to rub out the runs, and i went a little too far and hit metal in places so i needed to reprimer. Well that sucked because i had used all i got as a high build spray putty. So ill just use this Acrylic primer i got..... no better not ...... but its 15 ks to the paint shop and this 2 pack stuff is expensive.... nah she'll be right. 8O
Anyway thats another sobbing story of paint reacting blah blah blah
Dropped the kids of at school this morning went to the paint shop and got a spray can of primer for all types of paint :argh: got back home and rubbed the paint back again in the trouble spot and coated in the primer. Sun was out, and with the help of a heat lamp this time i was able to heat up the panel enough to take some base coat. Well it was an out on the driveway job and few foriegn objects got in her , and that little spot reacted again but i think the bumper nearly covers it.
But look at the colours in this, cant wait for some clear.
Unfortunately with these set backs, i will not have it ready with stubbie holders etc , for the Mustangtech Birthday bash, but we can atleast stand with a beer, look and talk about it. :drink:
