The K member in the car, well, actually now out, has stress cracks whereas the donor is fine.

Yes Mark, that is why I will need the one you have. Too awkward to fit when assembled, so it will get pulled apart.

That way the one you have will be blasted, painted & refurbished so it becomes like a new one to drive. So will the suspension pieces. Do it once, do it right.

Rear quarters removed exposing the rocker panel rust ......

Wheel arches are in surprisingly good condition, maybe a patch repair on the lower fronts. Rocker panels will need more substantial pieces made .....

I wish ..... :impatient:

Been a busy week actually, but not on cars. Mrsozbilt & I moved all our new doors & windows (that I bought in China) out of the shed & onto the verandah so it is an easier install. The doors weigh 35kg a square meter & some are huge. Needed a tractor & neighbours to help with the move.

The last 3 days have been taken up with cars, but Mark's Cuda really started today.

I give them to Sean at BossKraft & he gets them done. The Cuda one will be a challenge (no NOT Challenger .... ;) ) as they are an unusual box & quite different to what is over here. The column to box coupler is quite "unique" also ....

There's a semi retired bloke I use here in Melbourne. Works from home, and is VERY good at what he does.

Calls himself Tru-steer......even his lathe is older than him (i think)

Fairly priced on his stuff.

Still cutting. It is becoming a :worms:  Trying to get it to the blaster early next week. Needs to be "structurally sound" so it can be mounted on the rotisserie. That will keep me busy this week & weekend .....

The guy that owed it must have been a boat builder as there was fiberglass everywhere .....

Inside the plenum was fairly decent, probably only need a few small sections to make it "whole" again .......

Roof rails need replacement, I have already made a couple

Lots of other metal needs replacing, but nothing too difficult, just time .... ;)

Front tie rail going in .....

Doors were not real brilliant either, they really need skins. The frames have got issues, but I can fabricate corners. I would say the skins are shot, blasting will confirm that ......
