Re: New website - Known Issues
The old site kept me logged in permanently. Why does this one kick me out after a few hours?
Cheers, Tony.

Re: New website - Known Issues
If your IP address changes, you will be kicked out of the new site.
Outside of that, it's got to be a local issue. It doesn't happen to me in FF/IE/Chrome that I have tested.

Re: New website - Known Issues
Yes that would be it. They have introduced new "security" to the cookies so your login session can't be hijacked.
I would prefer this to be optional, because we don't need super high levels of security on this site. Our logins are not exactly high value targets.

Re: New website - Known Issues
I've just made a code change to the test website that should mean it no longer checks for a change of IP address.
Can those of you who are having logout issues, please try the test website over the next few days and le me know how it goes compared to this site.

Re: New website - Known Issues
That is a local cookie issue, unless your IP address is changing each time.chopmgw wrote:I have to log in every time with Firefox
In Firefox, please go to Options, then Privacy.
Towards the bottom of the page, you will see a text link to "remove individual cookies".
Click on that, then type mustangtech.com.au in the search bar. Click on each cookie for mustangtech.com.au and remove them.
Re: New website - Known Issues
I have removed the code that checks for a change of IP address, so cookies should remain valid after an IP change now.
Re: New website - Known Issues
Still having to log in all the time, using Firefox.
Cheers

Have you followed previous instructions to clear your cookies?
Just to be clear - staying logged in is a function of a cookie stored on your local computer. It's not a function of the website itself.

Opening and closing block content in IE is now fixed.
