Great work Nuts, will be interesting to see how it improves with a few tuning runs under it's belt.

Hey thanks for all the kind words of encouragement Guys. Most of it was helpful!! Just need to learn a bit about EFI to manually fine tune it once we've driven a few times. Can't wait..

I'm so sorry Pete, I know it must hurt. The other Pete is my nearby 63 Falcon friend who's been building his car for the last 20 years and gave up on it. His car is in the cave atm getting some adjustments! Now he tells me he's going to Snipe the car!!

Any joy?

I wnet with the MSD Atomic EFi system, and on reading their help topics I do reacall someone having a similar issue to you. I'll see if i can find out what they did - he systems are very similar.

Out of curiosity, are you running the original wiring harness?
I missed your question earlier. I have a Nuts built electrickery system and so far no smoke has escaped!

So two things

1. Great work Nuts!! The more you drive and tweak it the better you'll understand the system and how all the various settings work. One thing I have noticed with the MSD is that my car has lost a little of its "lope" at idle. A lot somootber now and after two weeks of 'learning' the idle is a constant 780 rpm.

2. Time may heal all wounds, but STD's... that's a whole other story...?

Ok, the car is back together. Ran the vent line, Sorted the fans, tidied up all the wiring, checked for leaks etc. Took her out for a lap and it ran like a dog. Limped home and had a cuppa. While I was drinking, it occured to me that I hadn't set the timing since swapping out the dizzy... Finish cuppa, check the timing and yep it was running at 5 degrees After. Adjusted it and it does run a bit better. Went for a short run. Didn't have time for any more play. Did take some pics of the current settings and will work through this Simple EFI Bullshit when I can. It is running very rich at startup and a bit rich when warm. Once I learn this stuff, there'll be no more room for anything else in my brain i'm sure. Simple they said!! Sorry no video yet, can't drive and video at the same time apparently its not legal.

Anyway, after I put blue away for the day, my mate Pete, not that toyoda loving Pete, you know, the other one with the Falcoon. Anyway, he turns up with a big box from the States and proceeds to open it and pull out a Holley Sniper EFI setup. Well bugger me if it isn't almost the same as the Fitech Unit. Bastard got it a bit cheaper too, Made in USA so no import duty. Looks like i'll have the Falcoon here till Christmas!!A carby is easier Pete!!!

Why not? There may be a very cheap one coming up soon.
