Had a little bit of progress recently as I have been reshaping the castor rod brackets with a bit of gentle persuasion (read big hammers and oxy) while not perfect certainly better than before....

Took a while but worked out they are easier to see if I paint em silver Doh..

While I was having a good look underneath I found that at some time in the past pump up shocks must have been fitted..

So, the decision was made to replace the shocker washers that had been welded into place with some pieces I prepared earlier..

This is pretty much where I'm at atm...

I have to do much the same to my caster brackets. Was that a left or right handed hammer you used?

How's the engine coming along as well?

Pete, nice work. What makes you say it was fitted with pump up shocks?

A small request if I could: Can you please limit the number of photos in each post to two at most. That way I can still glance across at your avatar. Any more than two and your avatar scrolls off the top of the screen. Thanks Jacko

Both and the oxy three arms would been a bonus and somewhere to put the tools other than the shadow floor while doing it would also have been good, so I built a bench on wheels..
Engine should be all go after xmas still got a couple of bits to get and machine shop is flat out atm..

The damage to the shock mounts is consistent with what pump ups do, other than that just a guess jacko..

VP for Ralph... a bit of shed time became available on the weekend so I took a look at the front end..which was basically a bin job, all bushes are shot,..any way photo's

Granada pieces me thinks...
Image

Saw this excellent repair job a while ago and once the top wishbones were out I could see it's awesomeness continued on the other side..

Image

Image

And uniformly continued on the other side..

All this, along with some seriously wicked looking chook shit repairs done to the l/h tower right one looks to be all good except for mountain of weld at the bottom of it.. This is getting more better and betterer,.. I'm excited, starting to wonder what other treats I'm going to encounter....
