So my car has this ribbed taillight panel , at the moment its painted body color in between the ribs , not a fan
Question , would you leave it like the photo , black out the ribs to pick up on the GT stripe or polish the high ribs and leave the low ones brushed ??

In my opinion ditch the body colour.

From there I am not sure about blackening out the ribs either. What if you went all black, that may look good. Wouldn't be too hard to photoshop.

I do like the idea though of polishing the ribs and leaving the rest brushed. That may look really good and have some nice contrast.

But you know me. I couldn't decide so I would be no help for you.

I think leave it all brushed alloy.
That's what the pic looks like to me, and I think it looks great against the gold.
You could even blast it or something so it has a low sheen.

Get these guys to blast it. They may only be the manufacturer but will tell you who is closest to you. This blasts & seals the die cast (same for aluminium) so you can wipe it clean. It will look like it just came out of the mould.

I have a mate that is buying one .......

Looking great!

I'd go for the OEM look, light sliver-ish grey (darker than the common argent).

Have a set I'm going to add to the S GT coupe... but will go darker grey on the Royal Maroon. It is a nice addition you don't see often.

And there a guy down Jimboomba (sp?) way that does similar blasting, he did my C6 case and some other bits. Good work done in a few days. PM or call if you want contact info for price shopping...

What Mert said. The factory grey looks good and I think would complement the black GT stripes.
