Re: 70 Convertible Project
i'm wondering where the british heritage came into the mustang gene pool... as I now have a nice fluid leak!
That will give me something to do on the weekend - try and identify what is leaking.
Have only just noticed the stains on the drive way, but believe it will likely be power steering related. temporary fix is to stop parking on the driveway until fixed....

That sounds more like a permanent fix.moe wrote: temporary fix is to stop parking on the driveway until fixed....

Yeah, but it sat for a while without being driven.
Re: 70 Convertible Project
Shouldn't make any difference. Raise it up and check for any binding or distortion to the hoses.

Hoses look good. Ram and control valve very wet.
Pump dry after 350kms.

Re: 70 Convertible Project
Pump has been filled; time to take for aother run, degrease and look for where the leak is coming from.
Re: 70 Convertible Project
Decided to bleed any air out of system... fired it up, turned the steering wheel - and it was a little noisy. A few more turns, and the noise went away...
But a puddle appeared under the ground after 5 mins of running the engine, directly below the ram/control valve. Had a chat to nuts, and next step will be to pull the wheel off and have a good look (after a degrease of course!)
