So have established that there is no way to get a standard cast manifold to fit the 390 because of the XF steering box taking up the space needed , after much rootin around and interwebing ive stumbled across a kit by Castlemaine Headers that is meant for the FE , at $380 for the kit it sounds good to me , anyone have a better option ??

Mate, at that price is has to be worth a try. Worst case and it will not fit, just sell it on.

Worst case is have Woody's mate at Exhaust innovations to make one for that side and use the Castlemain headers on the other. Does super nice work.

I dont think its a made up header but a kit of head plates and Mandrel bends the you have to make.

Yeah , slowly slowly , have been trying to work out the most cost effective way to get an exhaust on it , as soon as you say RHD with a 390 the exhaust boys rub their hands together and think come in spinner , the biggest hurdle is the GT heads as they have a 14 bolt stud pattern and nobody has a template to make the Header plates , so after much deliberating ive ordered a set of FPA headers 14 bolt specific , so will only need to modify the one side
hopefully keeping the cost to a minimum, in the mean time ill get the car buttoned up enough to get it on the tilt tray and send it off for a full system , really need to catch up with Shaunp to get a plan of attack so when it comes back we can kick it in the guts , in the mean time I'm just pissin around with little things , still livin the dream though !!

Lack of momentum is a killer. Just went back to your first post and it has been 5 years now. Probably more than that since you got the car. Mine has been 6.5 years now. Keep going Ralph.

So just trying to share an image , long story short , found a guy who cast this manifold , 390 GT into RHD 67 Mustang , has now been installed with a full 2.5 stainless system ,
