If his legs are long enough I could extend the seat slides back some. That picture is with the seat all the way back. Wait till he tries it maybe ok.

I doubt it. That column and dash will need some major work. A customer in the US wanted me to add one to his car and after mucking around for a day, it was decided to go another route. I refuse to fit them now because of the issue you have found.

In a hot rod or a Chevy, no prob, but they just do not fit a Ford without major mods.

That is crazy that column. Must be a lot different in the 67/68 as mine is nohting like that. My wheel is much closer to the dash and I am using an ididit column.

No different. The firewall outlet location to the seat riser is exactly the same..

In fact, you can fit a 67-8 pedal box to a 65-6, just have to change the booster/master holes in the firewall. Solves the pedal ratio problem that the early cars had.

Had a look on their website they have a heap of different ones for mustangs, think John maybe got the wrong one, they have one that states it has a ford top not chev like this one so you can run factory wheel and is in the right spot, perhaps this wasn't available at the time. I'll wait till he tries it, I maybe able to shorten the bottom and push it closer to the dash. I could also be that the Borgeson box pushes it further into the cabin. If the shaft just has a flat for the uni, it wont be too hard to shorten it.

I got the 1300644020 which said it was specific for the 1968 mustang. It had a GM spline though which was a pain in the arse. Below is a phot showing mine with a 14" steering wheel.

Yeah I think you might have the normal length column. The column Ididit sell for the borgeson is the same as the one for rack and pinion, which is shorter.

Here is my Ididit rack column with the borgeson unit(seat is all the way forward in this pic)
