Nah had the mask and that.. I'm sure you remember the days cutting up a sheet of asbestos with a circular saw. We should get the motor back soon and I'm going to pick up the trans through the week. I'm keen to get that slotted in. I've got a BA wagon I picked up on the cheap I'm unloading to inject some money back into the car.

Probably a good idea to get the brake lines and master fitted before you fit the engine, or is that next on the long list.

I hadn't really thought about it just yet, I might flip a few cars over before I scrap them and rob the large lines to make life easier. Next I was planning on getting the export brace.

A roll of enough line to make them is like $40 from Burson. The nuts are cheap as well.

Have you settled on your radiator yet?
Have a look at VN-VP Commodore V8.
Thats what is in Frankenstang and its a real nice fit
(It has electric fans as there is no room with the 4.0 six)

I was going to go an alloy 3 row that would bolt straight in. Thought about these other options however given the current direction, I think this is most logical
And thanks Shaun, they have just opened up here, we use them through work - I'll check them out

For the front stone trays fitted up. We sorted the right front guard out but with everything bolted together, the left front guard is being a pain in the bottom near the door. I have looked at others and their gaps are ordinary there too, maybe it's just common, so I'll cop it, I keep telling myself that they don't line up like new cars.
Here is a current pic

Yes you have to be brutal when fitting up new panels before paint.

Fender sits a little high. Take it off & with it upside down, give the inner frame a whack where the rocker bolt goes through. That will force that section up & make the fender sit lower (same effect as placing a spacer it that spot).

Blocks of wood, large hammers & rolled up towels are all used to push, hit or bend panels into shape.

Another tip for the 65/6 people.

When fitting up the front fenders, get some 67 or later L brackets that bolt to the lower bolt of the rear splash panel & has a fender clip in the bottom. Then you drill a hole in the lower part of the fender & that gives you 2 bolts holding the rear lower part of the fender. Also holds it in line with the rocker.
