These cars are real classics and that motor with the induction looks cool. Have to agree the 6+2 is the better engine variant- a sleeper. Was this car under the cuda when you started? IE, is that where the lime green paint fell onto?

I noticed you were using a book for the wiring; what's that about. I tend to keep all the primary colours together - looks better that way ;-) The smoke on first test is rather like a josh stick at a Buddhist temple (the Sri Lankan influence there). Hence JBB never let me near the ends of the wires when wiring his car- he was happy for me to just hold the middle of the twenty thousand wires - but I did sneak in a little surprise...

kerry,
pity i didnt look at this earlier.
ive got an original Ford V6 workshop manual that might have helped, amongst lots of other Capri books/brochures/parts manuals..

back when i was playing with Capris, i had an original 2.6Litre V6 engine with Kugelfisher mechanical fuel injection that i got off Barry Seton that only had test laps done by him after he took it from its delivery crate.
good story behind that one, its now in the US back where it belongs in an original RS2600 Capri.

As usual with hindsight-Should have kept it, rare as rocking horse shit......

Wow cool engine, Setons? as in Glens old man Bo ? Really nice little car, a mate of mine had a bronze GT when we were young but it couldn't keep with my XU1. But then it was that hot, pretty sure Woody did that V6 when he had a shop at Nudgee called All about cars.

Yep Bo. He will come down and have a drive when done as he and I have a mutual friend close by Duggo. Bo was excited about the numbers the engine produced.

We were involved in rallying against them. They were not as good as the Datsun 1600s at that time (that we had) & it was the XU1 Torana's that really upped the ante. However the Mitsubishi Lancers of the mid 70's really changed the game, a factory built rally car. That was what commenced our overseas travelling as Carol & I went to Japan in '77 to play with these cars. A side trip to Taiwan & then to Hong Kong & we were hooked on Asia. Been going back ever since & now have infected others (soc_123 is in Beijing at this time ..... ).
