Flew the Dreamliner to the US & back. Neat aircraft. What made it interesting was that Boof & I flew the Airbus A350 to Hong Kong & back, so a good comparison of the latest aircraft from both manufacturers. Both have humidified air, relieving some of possible jetlag. The Dreamliner is however a one piece fuselage, reinforced plastic, so they can increase the cabin pressure to the same as 3000' (as opposed to 7k' on riveted fuselages) & with bigger windows (that you can control the tint) it is a comfortable ride.

First week was Disneyland & California Adventure with the grand kids. Fun week, but then was back to Sacramento & start the VW I was flown over to build.

However there was a car show on in Loomis, the town where I had my shop when we lived over there, so spent a Saturday looking at the cars at this small event (prob 300 + cars) .....

The following weekend was the All British Show in Dixon California. As the TC above won last year, it was in the "winners circle" this year. Ron (the owner) was running in the Bay to Breakers run, so we had the job of looking after the car for the day ........

Few of the cars ........

An original owner 69 XKE, neat guy we chatted for an hour or so ........

Car is a 1950 or 51. Plate is US of America (not a "State" plate)

Is the 1C actually "I see"?

1144 - car is a 356 1100 and it has 44hp or maybe it is number 44 in production?

Correct. Berlin occupation. IC is the zone.

I thought it strange how none of the Americans could work it out.

F, me Oz, how are we supposed to work that out. I thought you meant what the actual number plate numbers and letters meant.
