I'm buying a 2001 Mustang Cobra but it has the usual hazy plastic headlights, had the same on my 1996. Can the headlights available on Ebay (USA) be fitted, and are they Australian compliant?

The clear plastic used on the headlights is poly carbonate.
Very tough plastic.
The haze can be polished of with some diamond paste which toolmakers use.
I know a guy who makes a buck doing this for a trucking company.
Cheaper than swapping out headlights.

Most polishes will work but Mothers make a specific product to really bring them back 100%. Comes with it's own "PowerBall" , several sanding pads for very bad lamps , microfibre cloth & PowerPlastic polishing paste.

Nothing beats the 'Glassylite' headlight restoration kit as it uses NANO technology to fill most of the scratches and hollows on the headlights surface after you go through the process and it leaves a 'hard' like shell to stop the headlight from future discolouration.

It's available from Auto One...
