Reply Notifications

Hi,

I don't seem to be getting notified when i tick the box for notifications when people reply.
Is there something i need to be doing?

I seem to be getting them on threads I have added to, but not ones I have started, so I assume there is a tick box that is defaulted to off (when starting a thread), even if your settings are on.

Jay, if you're sure you've checked the option in the thread to be notified of replies, maybe check your junk/spam folders to see if they have been put there.

My last new topic I had started had the reply button ticked and I have not got any resposes via email. Yet I get updates to this one.

Same here. Is there somewhere to manage subscriptions so I can check that I am actually subscribed to a thread?

EDIT: Actually its acting pretty predictably since I just started using it again. Still cant find the subscription controls though.

I don't think there is an option to list your topic subscriptions.

I might be able to mod the "My Account" section to add it, depending how the data is kept in the database.

On a per topic basis, you can check the bottom left corner of the thread, and I think it should either say "watch this topic for replies" (you're not subscribed), or that you're watching it for replies.

Ok, I've found the issue with this.
If you're using a hotmail address, emails from our system are being blocked at the moment for who knows what reason.
Hotmail are a a bitch to deal with, so I'm trying to get this resolved, but who knows when it will happen.

In the meantime, remember these important rules:

1) hotmail sucks
2) use your real ISP email address, or a gmail account
3) refer rule #1

It looks like they may have fixed the issue after I sent them 139089081902389013 support requests.
