Hey all,

I have been toying with the idea for a while now of getting an eleanor/gt500 front end / skirts for my 67 fastback. I dont like the back end but am a fan of the front end. I need to get a new hood as the one i have wont clear the EFI manifold, so to kill 2 birds with one stone i was looking at the following :

The auction says he thinks it has come from someone down in melbourne, are there any people who fabricate these down in Melbourne or would it just have been imported there? Any Melbournians heard of this and if so, heard of the quality? Any help would be great!

Yeah a tight fit isnt it stu , i have got mine down to a 5mm clearance with the engine cover on , using my modified engine mounts and the RRS rack. I have just spent a few days trying to get my warped bonnet straight and after putting on a coat of paint , i have given up. Im about to place an order from the states for the convertible sheetmetal and have decide to by a new bonnet. However i have also decided to find a v8 BF falcon style hump from a wreck and weld it on to my stuffed bonnet and have two types i can bolt on.

Put a 68 Shelby hood & nose panel or even the type that Heven67 (67 Shelby type) as it will give you the clearance & you don't have to buy the nose. The car in my avatar has an EFI motor & the 68 Shelby hood clears no worries.

But i like the nose cone! I sent an email to Sean@bosskraft, i think he wants to sell the entire suspension / bodykit as one piece. Cost a pretty penny!

I have a Bonnet here if you are interested. It came from prototypes plus in Melbourne. It has been modified to fit the car, all pin holes are repaired & it has been made straight. All the hard work has been done. I have it here for my car, but I am toying with the idea of something different. Let me know if you are interested.

God no, I am not a fan of the Reactor Bonnet. Not 100% sure yet on what I will do. Depends if someone wants my stuff or not. I could probably be persuaded to give up my nose cones & lights as well. All have had the hard work done, brackets etc fabricated.
