Thought Collecting Couch II

Post by Cruzn65 »

Work has started, albeit slowly, on the Thought Collecting Couch II.
First the seat, got the kids going on that with some pliers they removed the hog rings with me.

after an hour the seat looked like this

found this manufacturing tag underneath, might find an old photo frame for it for the Shrine

Then this weekend past, Mike and I collected the project in the old man's ute and stripped it and cut it in 2.... and it looks like this - and that is as far as we got before returning it to its temp resting place

after being chopped

back on the ute

thanks to Mike for allowing me to use his tools time and expertise.... oh and for allowing me to distract him from his project and the trip to the wildlife park with the rest of the family.....

Good to see my name survived the trip & the cutting up, I assume it is to be made a "permanent fixture" on the couch ..... ? :dance2:

I wonder if a coupe rear seat, with the top cut down to convertible size, will fit in the boot area....
Then you could use a vert seat trim, to save upholstery costs.

I have vert seat trim to go on it, this seat was supposed to be a vert seat.... seller obviously didn't know what he was selling but told me it was.... I will have to modify the seat back frame....

Cup holders in the arm rests would go down a treat imho

Edit: Actually why dont you just hook a tap up so you dont need to get up!
