Yes, all very true. This quote is interesting:

William Famlonga, a partner in Fremantle-based company Universal Customs Brokers, said ... that while he had not seen an increase in demand for US cars in line with the growing strength of the Australian dollar, he had noticed more widespread awareness among US vendors of Australians' interest in their cars.

"The US sellers are holding out for a higher price," Mr Famlonga said. He said this was because many American sellers were aware that Australian buyers could afford to pay more.

something else to note, don't import an old engine with these guys... cost me way too much!

Thats why we say we live in Florida. Secondly...you never call from another country saying its leaving the states.....some owners would rather loose their house than know their car is going to another country...and that ratio...believe it or not is about 90% of sellers
