My car has landed and the container is due for pickup and unpacking tomorrow.

Agent advised today that it has passed "redline inspection".

What does this mean ?

They put their foot to the floor in neutral and see if any engine bits come flying off.

Redline means that the car hit the shores and if Australian customs think there is any thing fishy about the import, they "REDLINE" it.

It basically tells the customs agent to hold up a few days so they can inspect the paperwork and any relevent documents for or about the car.

Sometimes its just a random thing Oz customs does.

Once its cleared the redline...its all go from there

Yep, I have had over a dozen new company cars and they have all been redline tested...........................................often!
