Hey guys, this question is for the Painters.
iv observed the last few weeks looking at resto cars that there's different types/styles/appearances of primer.
some flat colours like grey, some brown and doty and also some are smooth or rough to the touch. are there differences in the primers? are the styles used for different reasons or are they just the same primers but different colours/consistences???
Kosa

Re: types of Primer??
Apart from different producers using different colours and the fact that there is Acrylic , enamel , 2 pack primers and then the same for etch primers. I may be corrected as i am no way a profesional but the choice of colour comes down to the top coat colour aswell as personal choice to show up paint imperfections , i use black primer that shows everything , for darker colours like black and under dark greys etc. Yellow , white or grey under lighter colours.
