The 2nd Canton Fair trip. April/May 2012

We are doing the 2nd Canton Fair trip & already we are almost full (had space for 8 guys + myself).

There is one spot left for this trip. 7 spots are already taken including the 3 that came with me last time.

Fly out from Sydney on the morning of April 25th & land that evening in Guangzhou. Trip home is on May 7th landing in Sydney in the evening.

Flying China Southern Airlines. Everyone one the same flight so I can arrange pickup & drop off in China (I will already be there)

You need to PM me & then we can talk by phone. Need confirmation by late this month & a non refundable deposit (AU$1500) paid by January 6th so I can book the flights & reserve the rooms. Cost of the trip (flights, hotels & van hire) will be around the AU$4K mark.

The other guys are already booked on this flight & I will be arranging (& paying the deposit) the hotel while I am in China this December/January with Steve (soc_123) as we will be up there starting the business that the 4 of us, that went last time, came up with.

We will be doing the last 2 days of Phase 2 & then 4 days of sightseeing in Dongguan (some of us will be visiting factories) then back to the Fair for Phase 3.

This is a fully escorted tour & if you need to know what the others thought, PM or call them. Basically everything is arranged from takeoff in Sydney to landing back in Sydney.

But that changed once we arrived, it was one of the most fun 10 days or so I have had. Not to mention that the place is the land of opportunity. For anyone looking at ways of trying to make a few extra dollars, China is the place to go.

And yes the place is F*****g amazing, Like Steve i thought WTF China but so glad i took the trip and yes we worked but boy did we have fun also :rotfl:

I am now finalizing the trip & still have that one space left. We may be able to get you on the same flight, but the longer left the harder it is to get you on.

Biggest issue will be getting your credentials for the fair as it takes time. So if you are even just considering, let me know. It cost nothing to register for the fair.

Already the 4 of us, that went in October, have something going from the that trip & more opportunities will present themselves this trip as well.

Then you will save a bunch by coming, in my opinion, you would pay for the trip....

This is Phase 2 of the Fair, have a look at what will be on display, plus I can take you to places in Dongguan that have everything you will need for the reno.....

Does a concertina (?) 5 panel double glazed sliding doors and two dual action windows-also double glazed- for under $2k sound good? This is that Kerry is talking about.
If you can go with someone who knows the area you are visiting it is sooooo much better.

Anyone that is even thinking of going (there is a few of you), contact me & I will register you under my business name at the fair. Registration is free & does not matter if you turn up or not.

However the registration process takes a long time (& frustrating) so this is to make sure you do not miss out.

We can also make it work if more than one wants to come, as the 3 Amigo's that came before know the ropes, so I only need to really look after the new comers.....

It will be the same 4 of us doing this trip again. Lots to see this time as we have many factories to visit while there along with the Fair.

It will be the first time we have done Phase 2 & 3 of the Fair, so looking forward to the opportunities that will present themselves.

The 4 of us are already talking about expanding a few more ideas & the factory visits will expand those thoughts. I will be staying on, after the 3 Amigos get on the silver budgie back to SYD, & fly to Shanghai to look at another factory that may bring an exciting opportunity for the 4 of us.

There will be at least one container full of stuff returning after the visit with samples & building stuff for some of our homes.

The paintings are now starting to become more well known. Look for samples at the Mustang Nationals in Newcastle this Easter.

We will be doing it all again in October.

5 weeks to go, I just emailed Hollywood Baby to let them know to stock up on JD. Also the hotel to make sure the vegimite jars are clean & 26 cans of green beer are on ice. They will also make sure they have plenty of those tiny prawns & duck neck for secret squirrel.
