A Horse with no name

Post by Pinto-Pete »

The story so far, a little over 12 months ago I took my family to America for a holiday, anyway whilst in Denver the minister for war and finance gave the green light for the purchase of a mustang. So after chasing down about a dozen 67/8 coupes and a 69 fastback none of which were really up to scratch, while I was looking at these cars I also found another 69 fastback on the net but it was out in a place that goes by the name of Pueblo West, which if it aint desert it does a very good imitation, hence the title of the post. Anyway this joint is 2 hrs towards New Mexico from Denver and after umming and ahhing decided to bite the bullet and go have a look as the photo's looked good and the price was to good to pass up. When we arrived and old mate backed it out of the garage..,well the photo's did not do this thing justice and needless to say the deal was done and I drove it back to Denver or Aurora to be precise. the trip back was interesting to say the least apart from making a mental list of repairs required I was being harassed by cars on the freeway passing and then slowing down for a look, at least my daughter who was with me enjoyed it as a lot of people waved to her, guess they don't see to many old mustangs on the road either. I was kept busy with the third of a turn of slack in the steering box this made to No 1 on the hit list. I didn't start a project thread earlier as I didn't think I had one but as it turns out I do..... and it seem's to be getting bigger all the time.. 8O
here are some photo's taken at my brother in laws place in Denver.

I think the battery may be too small - no starting problems??
