Visiting car lift factory in China

Post by ozbilt »

Steve & I will be in DongGuan at the beginning of August for a very short trip. We take off from SYD on Thursday 1st around 9.00pm & land back in SYD on Monday 5th at 6.05am.

We are visiting some factories that are making product for us (eg; double glazed windows & doors for houses) & will also including a visit to factory that produces various types of car lifts (2 & 4 post, scissor lift & other interesting stuff)

We need to know what interest there is for car lifts. We will only consider a full container load. That is not many items, as weight is a determining factor in shipping that kind of stuff, rather than size.

If enough interest, we will pursue it further.

For example ...... I am looking at a 4 post lift that has a wheel aligner attachment, along with a scissor lift built in. That will allow me to sort out the suspension issues that people bring to me.

I would be interested in a scissor lift? Being a stock suburban home environment I can't do the hoist but a low height scissor lift would be of benefit to me...

Shipping of course would be an issue to the west coast unless there are a number of takers...

I would be interested in a 2 poster aroud 3.5 tonne single phase if the price is right!!. Have to get itshipped to SA though unless you are doing a road trip!!
Even one as you are chasing would be cool but might be out of my price range!!

I guess this is a bit of a baseline for here in Aust so I would expect somewhat lower in price... http://www.aaq.net.au/

I have the drawings on the notebook, but it will be the October trip when I do that. We will not have time this trip & I would need to be on my own so I can travel faster & cheaper.

I just woke up! I remember asking my wife if I could put a hoist in the man cave. I indicated that it would mean removing a large section of our bedroom floor. Then everything went black! Could be she didn't approve. Kerry i'd be interested in a scissor lift but again it would depend on the final price.

Scissor lift interest here also.
When I was over there we visited a facgory that was turning down the cast bits for car lifts. This was up near Bj though.

out of interest how high would a scissor lift go?
is it high enough to work under or just enough to get the wheels off the ground?

Lee, they vary but between 600mm to 1,2mr. Ideal for suspension and brake work.
