Im a Caddy Daddy

Thats right i have crossed over to the other side and purchased the General Motors 1950 Cadillac 6 seater people mover that some may of seen advertised in Kens Kool Kars on this forum.

Why have i bought another project when i cant get any time in the shed to complete my Fastback, convertible and all my other projects?
The answer is THERAPY … thats what i tell my wife..... and after rubbishing its door trims at first glance it has just sort of grown on me.

I am hoping... but not holding my breath that it will be a quick fix up project, keep LHD and get on the road quick and use sort of thing. Not worried about paint the old grey is fine by me.

Plan is to fix the small bit of rust in the rear outer sill, get mechanically sound and put her over the pits. Drives and runs well apparently but have to get the wipers going, vaccum operated wiper motor is there but the wiper arms have been removed, not sure whats missing as yet, but may have to rig up something. Also the old cracked steering wheel needs repair or replacing for now and will have to recolour taillight lenses or get new ones.

May register without seat belts then fit lap sash front and rear, also comes with new disc brake and booster kit but the original brakes still work.
Has a new 12 volt system fitted including a new chrome alternator and possibly starter I assume and rebuilt carby.
The best thing is 3k has already been spend on all new rat rod style interior trim.

Going to chuck some bigger white walls on, maybe just add Flappers instead as the tyres are good, lower the front end and tint the windows = one Cool Cruiser

just register it and worry about the rest later.
Maybe the foster department can help fund it as it will be to their benefit.

Very cool Scott, very cool indeed. You may not want to go back to a pony car after the lead sled.

The Fastback still gets tucked in every night, she knows she's number 1.

Thanks Pete, it was a hard decision as i actually wanted a 53 Mercury that Ken has more, but i dont need another full on project, the Mercury is a non runner and baby blue colour (yuk) so would need a heart transplant and a repaint.
I wanted both actually, im working on that one. ;)
