Mike's Walla

Post by mikes68 »

So introducing my next project... a WLA Harley Davidson

It currently looks like this...

Image

Image

Not sure on originality yet nor how incomplete it is in parts but I think it is something in the order of 90% - 95% complete.

Going to pick it up early next week... Oh, and YES - wifey DOES know about it - now!!! :poke:

This will just go into storage until the pony is on the road although I might well strip down the frame and have it blasted and powder coated fairly soon as that is pretty much a no brainer.

So this is close to what I would like it to look like when done - except a different colour.

Image

Can you guess which colour? Well, none other then Acapulco Blue of course - to match the pony (when it gets done)

Just lurv those big white walls and all that blingy chrome.

Man I need to give this forum a good wash down now that a H*rley has been posted on it :(

At least you'll be able to plough your paddocks once it's finished ;)

I nearly fell off the chair laughing when I read that Dave. She did in fact mention Disney Land - although I don't think I am invited :rotfl:

Surely you have at least one of them as a project you could post up here

Like the new project Mike.

I see it only has one seat, did the wife know she wouldn't be riding shotgun when she agreed to the purchase? :poke:

Ahh! you finally found one Mike, well done.
Will look nice Alcapulco Blue too.

Now all you need is an Alcapulco Blue trailer to tow behind the Mustang for the ever so often broken down Harley. :drink:

Both of them are ongoing projects really.
My RD350LC I "finished" 10 years ago, but I'm in the process of modifying the pipes to quieten it down a bit (sign of old age).

My YZR500 replica was only "finished" a little while back. Still working on that regularly though. Need to make new pipes for this one too, as the top ones are a bit short, so the power comes on too high in the rev range.

Don't have many good pics of the 500. These were taken before the seat was fitted, front screen etc.

Looks like it'll be sitting next to a Triumph Bonneville for a while so they'll be good company for each other. I read the other day that "there is no classic Jap bike". :worms:
