Fuel pump filter seal

Post by 65muzzy »

I replaced the fuel filter on my 65 and can't get a proper seal between the fuel pump and the filter canister. It is a standard original fuel pump. Do I just buy another rubber seal and try again?

Try a smear of grease on the rubber seal first as that will allow it to go on a little tighter.

Tried the grease but still leaking. Tried robbos for a new seal but they do not carry them. Does anyone know where else they are available? Are there shops that just sell rubber seals like they sell bearings.
