A New Fastback On The Block (Aussie Adventures)
WOOOO Its finally here!!
my 1966 fastback is finally on Aussie shores! it passed customs on Monday and i got it dropped off at Steve shop today. i drove down to have a look at my beauty today also. i tried to set low expectations so i wouldn't get upset when i saw it.... when i did see it, i was surprised how well it had survived after it 44yrs in the States.
my original thoughts looked like it may need a doner lower half but since today's real life look its seem reasonable
I left it in St Mary's with Steve for a couple of check overs until i decide what to do and where to leave it etc...
Gawd i see now what really lines on a car look like, they look better when its your own
ill try an upload some pics asap.
the journey has just begun

ill be back down there next week i reckon kerry, so maybe set up a man date lol
Steve said that usually the top half is worse then the bottom, and he feared the bottom because the top needed some work, but when we got to lifting it off the ground. the under body wasn't to bad, some rust spots but nothing serious that could be seen.

Re: A New Fastback On The Block (Aussie Adventures)
For the price it owes landed over here its not a bad thing. Most of the bits seem to be there, the panels are surprisingly pretty good. The body needs some serious work but for the price giddy up horseyshermatt wrote:So the fatkid didnt too bad?
Just glad the plug got pulled on Romeo before it went south.
