Fits a Model A Ford. I was checking out the vehicle the other day & saw this piece. Been a long time since I have seen one.

So any guesses what it is?

BTW, the company that made them for Ford is still in business today making products for similar applications .........

turbo? supercharger?? Was going to say gear driven FI but 3 guesses would be to many!!!

Looks like some kind of heater.

Yep a heater & produced by Fostoria who still make heaters today (but not for cars, I believe).

Google is very much a friend, I had to get one of these for a mate some time back. It was so nice to see they were reproduced.

Actually there is not much that is NOT produced for the Model A ......

Economies of scale I guess. If the markets big enough then its worth the production cost. I just never related it to Model A's but they are a prime example.
