Website moved

You may have noticed the website go into maintenance mode today.

I've bitten the bullet and moved the website to our hosted servers in Canada. Even though the website was fast enough in Australia, we were getting unfavourable stats from google.

Our hosted servers have massive bandwidth, so this should make a big difference, especially when downloading from the website.

Yeah in the long run it was going to have to happen.
I'm sure some people have already noticed the website go down every now and then when my internet connection dropped out.

Hosted servers rarely go down if ever, and it will also allow us to grow without any pain, so if it didn't happen now it would have happened some time in the future anyway. Now that I know we're here to stay, might as well do it right!

Will go back to using Safari and see how it goes..

I'm talking once every couple of weeks.. once a week at most.

If you're having issues more often than that, it wasn't my connection causing it. It's just that Apple sucks ass

Hey, it was free, what do you want for free... And I cant convince the missus to use Ubuntu..

Was only having problems in the chat room.. if it gives me grief I'll just switch back to firefox..

Jeff anyway we can have the new posts button back in the top menu, I found that easier to navigate... if not then don't worry I'll get used to the new style

Nothing should have changed really... I just copied everything over from the other server.

Went down just as l went to post my original thread wanting some advice on a new alternator........for a split second , l thought I might have caused the site to crash and Foresight might have to give up the crash hat.

Just attached my thread for the second time writting it out.

That's the price one has to pay, to get good advice l guess hey!!
