I will have to try & copy it over from the Moca forum. Is that possible?

Not sure about the other guys, but I've just been clicking on "edit" in each of my posts on the other forum, and copying all the text over to this one.

The BBCode is pretty much the same, but if the img tags have sizes in them such as [img=700] etc, then you'll have to take the size out so it's just img on its own. It was pretty time consuming to get my whole thread over, but OK once you get on a roll.
Obviously any replies you had by others won't come over either, so it might look like you're talking to yourself

Back in late 2008 my XY GT clone that I had had since 1988 when I was 17 got pinched. After much soul searching I decided that to replace it with another XY would be unfaithful to the old one. It had to be a Ford so the hunt began for a Mustang. Unfortunatly for me I hadnt yet met some of the people that grace this & the other forum. So this is the gem I ended up with. It arrived in April 2009. Its only redeeming feature was the S in the vin number & the GT500 instruments & it existed.

Approximatly 2 weeks later I uncurled myself from the feotal position, took my thumb from my mouth & stopped crying for my Mum. (the pics dont do justice to how shagged it was) I then figured it is was it is & it needs to be fixed. The only sensible way to sort it was to sacrifice a good coupe body & let it realise the dream of all coupes. To become a bad ass fastback. Luckily for me this imaculate donor was laying in a Mustang Morgue in Victoria.

A short time later it was time for the Blue car & the Grey monster to become one.

First job is the firewall, the plan was to keep it looking as Mustang as possible & trying to mirror the original look as much as we could. In hindsight there are easier ways of doing it but what do you do.

The dash needs a little bit of massaging.

Being a factory A/C car all the heater box & associated bits also needed to be chopped up & redesigned.

We are now up to November 2009 & the car has been Eleanored. I was a bit slack with the camera. Mainly because we had just done an Eleanor for Stanglover & that was well documented picture wise. For any one interested all those pics are in my photo bucket - link in my sig line.
