Hi guys, the steering shaft in my car has more movement in it than I would like, they are a different unit to the items installed in the US cars because of the steering rack installed by Ford, and the Australian spec items are no longer available.

Here's a pic of the US spec item so you know what I'm trying to describe....

So, I have movement in my upper spline - not much, it but it is annoying. Anyone ever come across an outfit that can either recondition these or someone who is likely to be able to fabricate one?

Thanks in advance

Hey Jiffy,

Are you referring to radial, axial or side to side / up and down movement?

I would bet the top half is the same as the US version, lower probably extended for the RHD r&p.

Very good question!!

Yup, radial movement - I turn the wheel for a few degrees but nothing happens...
