Radiator Repairs

Post by Caspian_64 »

Looking for a radiator mob in the Perth Metro that can re-core a radiator and reuse the original top and bottom tanks...
Not sure if it's possible to merge a repro core with the oem tanks/sides

Appreciate any advice!
Regards,
Dom

They measure the tanks & straps & order a core to fit. No big deal & what they normally do.

I'll try Leos, first quote was right up there, I'll see how Leos compares...

Should I be expecting this type of service to be up around the $500 mark?

500 vs 350ish for a repro radiator... thats not that much of a premium.

alternatively, you could buy a nos radiator core and oem tanks from the states and pay US$1500 before shipping and taxes, etc...

43% is "substantial" I would have thought.

maybe im the wrong person answering the question then...

for something like this, you have a few options:
1. pay 350 for something wrong, and live with it
2. you pay 500 and its acceptable and you have many years of problem free driving and can show it without any probs OR
3. you can pay 850 cause you took the first option and then you couldnt throw out a date correct part...

I know Dom wants correct, and correct always hurts. it just something you get used to...
