No mate, I won't be able to get there till at least next Tues. PM sent yesterday on that. Maybe you were out feeding the goat, or was it some other farmyard animals?

You leave my future dinner alone .....

I will probably be over there tomorrow as I am taking my Mum to show her Sean's shop. However it will not fit in my car (going to Wollongong after that anyway).

Are you suggesting Kerry is feeding the chickens? :poke:
I will someday think of something clever to say.

No worries. You could always take some photos so I can see what my tax return looks like!

Ok, so apparently you guys like pics. Operation Stick Shift is underway. The full World Class T5 kit inc bell housing, cross member, clutch etc etc arrived safely from Modern Driveline, and the coupe has landed at the ranch.

The idea is to freshen up the engine bay a little while we have good access.
This is how it looked on Monday morning.
Image

Up on the hoist for easy access.

Add two old fart panel beaters, and a couple of hours later:

No mucking around at The Ranch!

We always thought the little coupe was relatively clean and straight, better access brings more good news. She looks very original in here. OK, let's do it right. Better grab some paint stripper and do the old girl some justice!

Time to blister up the several layers of black, and the factory Twilight Turquoise makes an appearance here and there.

BYO old fart lets loose with the wizzer. I'm off to grab the safety glasses (for him, not me)

Feeling pretty tragic getting a woody over production line markings.

Shame to have to cover them up!

Wow... that's a lot more than I was expecting when I chatted to Kerry on the weekend!

Not for the faint hearted this stuff.

Things tend to happen pretty quickly out at the Ranch... Where's a pic of Harry or the Goat? surely they would be contributing!

More old fart action shots.

No, the Wizard is not sanding the timber table top... he's given up on carpentry for a little while... too bloody dangerous :)

Image

Nice and shiny!
Image

More good news. All original, straight, rust-free metal under all the stories of the last 50 years. No sign of a front-ender at all.

One not quite as old fart at the sandblaster all day getting every part forward of the firewall ready for correct colour.
Image

Got all this from Bosskraft to produce, wait for it, Satin Black!
Image

Shelby drop and a couple of other tricks from the great man should stiffen things up in more way than one.

While I'm back at work trying to earn it as quick as I can spend it, Oz will keep plugging away. Watch this space.

We were looking for Harry to get him in frame, but he disappeared for a while. The neighbor down the road showed up with him a few hours later. Maybe he'd seen enough red mustangs and went looking for something a bit more exotic ;)
